Aqua Therapie wordt in groepsverband gegeven in Zwembad de Fakkel. Het is bedoeld voor mensen met een aandoening/beperking of mensen met een lage belastbaarheid of die willen revalideren. Onder leiding van twee fysiotherapeuten wordt op maandag van 13.00 tot 14.00 uur en op vrijdag van 11.00 tot 12.00 uur en van 12.00 tot 13.00 les gegeven. Na een kwartiertje lekker in de bubbels of zelf even in het water acclimatiseren volgt er een half uur les met oefeningen voor het hele lichaam, de ene week met materialen en de andere week zonder materiaal met meer conditie-oefeningen. We sluiten af met rek- en strekoefeningen en na de les kan men nog even zwemmen of in de bubbels ontspannen.
De groep wordt gesplitst in twee niveaus van belastbaarheid, zodat iedereen op beide dagen mee kan doen. De kosten waren begin 2020 € 6,40 per les (betaling aan zwembad de Fakkel).
Tijdens vakantieperiodes wordt er alleen op vrijdagochtend tussen 8.30 en 9.30 uur les gegeven.
Vanwege de coronacrisis zijn de lessen sinds half maart 2020 niet doorgegaan en na de zomer om financiële redenen bij het zwembad nog niet hervat. Wij hopen van harte dat hier een oplossing voor gevonden gaat worden en dat we de lessen alsnog in de nabije toekomst weer op kunnen gaan starten.
